LEGAL / PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how truelabel collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our physical AI data marketplace, website, applications, and related services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Scope and roles
In this policy, "truelabel," "we," "us," and "our" mean the truelabel operator identified in the applicable account record, order form, invoice, or written agreement. This policy applies to personal information we handle for our own marketplace operations, including account administration, security, payments, support, marketing, analytics, and product improvement.
Some dataset materials are provided by buyers, suppliers, contributors, or organizations that determine how the data was collected and how it may be used. For those materials, truelabel may act as a service provider or processor under the applicable order, data processing agreement, or marketplace transaction. If you are asking about personal information contained in a dataset controlled by one of our customers or suppliers, we may direct you to that party unless law requires otherwise.
2. Information you provide
We collect information you provide when you create an account, update a profile, join an organization, submit a bounty, create a listing, bid on a project, upload or download files, send messages, request support, subscribe to updates, or otherwise interact with us. This may include name, email, phone number, company, role, account credentials, organization metadata, communications, support requests, project notes, bid content, collection specifications, license preferences, and other information you choose to provide.
If payments, payouts, tax forms, or verification checks are required, payment processors and compliance vendors may collect payment details, payout account details, billing address, tax information, identity verification materials, sanctions-screening results, fraud signals, and transaction records. We generally receive limited payment and verification metadata rather than full card or bank account numbers.
3. Marketplace and dataset materials
truelabel is designed for physical AI data workflows. Marketplace activity may include dataset descriptions, sample previews, imagery, video, audio, annotations, robot logs, teleoperation traces, sensor streams, calibration files, environment metadata, collection protocols, hardware details, consent artifacts, provenance records, QA findings, acceptance notes, and license restrictions.
Dataset materials may contain personal information or sensitive information if a user chooses to provide it, such as faces, voices, movement patterns, locations, home or workplace context, device identifiers, or other identifiable details. Do not upload personal information, sensitive information, children's data, regulated health information, biometric identifiers, confidential third-party information, or restricted data unless the applicable transaction expressly permits it and you have all required rights, notices, consents, and releases.
4. Information collected automatically
We collect technical and usage information when you use the service, including IP address, device and browser information, referring pages, pages viewed, feature usage, session events, search activity, file-transfer metadata, approximate location derived from IP address, error logs, performance diagnostics, security events, and cookie or local-storage identifiers.
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, account security, preferences, analytics, performance, abuse prevention, and product reliability. If we add advertising or cross-context tracking technologies, we will provide notices and controls required by applicable law.
5. Information from third parties
We may receive information from your organization, other users, payment processors, identity and compliance vendors, analytics providers, security tools, public sources, data hosting services, annotation tools, CRM systems, support systems, and integrations you connect to the service. This may include organization membership, role permissions, transaction status, verification status, payment status, fraud alerts, repository metadata, support context, and commercial contact information.
6. How we use information
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service; create and administer accounts; match buyers and suppliers; publish and moderate listings; process bounties, bids, orders, deliveries, reviews, refunds, and payouts; send transactional messages; provide support; perform QA and fraud checks; enforce terms and policies; comply with legal obligations; and protect users, truelabel, and the marketplace.
We may also use information to understand marketplace demand, improve search and matching, diagnose product issues, develop new features, produce aggregate analytics, personalize the product experience, communicate about service updates, and send marketing messages where permitted. You can opt out of marketing emails, but we may still send transactional, security, legal, and account messages.
7. AI training and product improvement
Private dataset materials are not automatically used to train truelabel-owned foundation models or unrelated commercial AI models. Unless an applicable order, written agreement, or product setting expressly authorizes it, we use private dataset materials only to operate the service, complete the relevant transaction, run QA, resolve disputes, provide support, maintain security, and comply with law.
We may use aggregated, de-identified, or operational information to improve marketplace search, matching, quality scoring, duplicate detection, license checks, safety checks, abuse prevention, analytics, and product reliability. We do not treat de-identified or aggregate information as personal information where applicable law permits.
8. How we share information
We share information with counterparties to marketplace transactions when needed to evaluate, perform, accept, pay, audit, or support a bounty, listing, order, license, or delivery. For example, buyers may receive supplier profile details, bids, dataset metadata, samples, delivery materials, QA context, and license documentation; suppliers may receive buyer requirements, acceptance feedback, payment status, and project communications.
We also share information with service providers that help us run the service, such as hosting, database, object storage, authentication, email, analytics, payment, compliance, fraud prevention, customer support, logging, security, legal, accounting, and infrastructure providers. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us and are expected to protect it under appropriate contractual obligations.
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, regulator, sanctions authority, or legal process; to protect rights, safety, security, and marketplace integrity; to investigate suspected fraud or abuse; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets; or with your consent or at your direction.
9. Dataset transactions and personal information
We do not sell account profile or usage information for monetary value or cross-context behavioral advertising. However, truelabel is a data marketplace, and users may intentionally license, purchase, sell, or otherwise transfer dataset materials and related metadata through the service. If those materials contain personal information, the transfer is governed by the applicable transaction terms, consents, releases, privacy requirements, and law.
Suppliers and contributors are responsible for ensuring personal information in dataset materials was collected and shared lawfully. Buyers are responsible for using dataset materials only within the permitted license scope and for honoring any privacy, consent, deletion, retention, downstream-use, or re-identification restrictions attached to the materials.
10. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, complete marketplace transactions, preserve audit trails, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, and protect rights and security.
Retention periods may differ for account data, communications, payment records, verification records, dataset materials, QA artifacts, logs, backups, and legal holds. If you delete an account or request deletion, some information may remain where necessary for completed transactions, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legitimate business purposes permitted by law.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include role-based access controls, encryption in transit, access logging, monitoring, vendor review, and separation of public marketplace information from private transaction materials.
No online service, storage system, data transfer, or security process is perfect. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, limiting access within your organization, reviewing what you upload, and promptly telling us if you believe an account, dataset, credential, or private workspace has been compromised.
12. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where we or our vendors operate. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual commitments or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
13. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and how we process your information, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, appeal, or information about how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, or shared. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
You can update some account information in-product. To make a privacy request, email partners@truelabel.ai with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity or authority before fulfilling a request. If your request concerns dataset materials controlled by another buyer, supplier, or organization, we may route the request to that party.
14. Marketing, cookies, and communications
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but some service features may not work correctly without authentication, security, preference, or session storage technologies.
15. Children and sensitive data
The service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect account personal information from children. If you believe a child provided account information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Do not upload children's data, regulated health information, biometric identifiers, precise location data, financial account data, government identifiers, or other sensitive data in dataset materials unless the transaction expressly permits it, applicable law allows it, and you have documented rights, notices, consents, safeguards, and downstream-use restrictions.
16. Third-party links and tools
The service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, repositories, payment processors, storage systems, annotation tools, communication tools, identity providers, or customer systems. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. Review those policies before connecting accounts, exporting data, importing data, or relying on third-party tools.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, marketplace, vendors, laws, or data practices change. The updated date shows when the policy was last revised. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate, such as by email or in-product notice.
18. Contact
Questions, privacy requests, or security concerns can be sent to partners@truelabel.ai. Please include enough detail for us to understand and route your request.
